Designed by DreamWorks, the first mobile spay and neuter clinic in Los Angeles was purchased by the Coalition for Pets & Public Safety. The mobile clinic travels into impoverished areas of Los Angeles conducting free sterilization for pets who are companions to seniors, the homeless, handicapped, and low-income residents. The clinic-on-wheels conducts sterilization at community centers, senior centers and shopping centers.
The state-of-the-art mobile clinic operates five days per week and alters 5,000 pets annually. An on-board generator and water supply makes the unit totally self-sufficient and able to travel throughout L.A. Surgeries are performed only by licensed Veterinarians using the most modern techniques and equipment available.
We look forward to purchasing another mobile clinic so 10,000 pets per year can be altered. Every dog and cat sterilized by the mobile clinic will immediately affect the number of unwanted births. Approximately 120,000 unwanted dogs and cats are euthanized annually in the county and city of Los Angeles.
